Position Summary

OnPath Federal Credit Union is seeking an experienced Chief Lending Officer to join their dynamic team. This key role will be responsible for expanding and managing a strong lending department, focusing on consumer, mortgage, and commercial lending. The Chief Lending Officer will play a vital role in driving growth strategies, staying informed on industry trends, and ensuring compliance with regulatory matters, all while maintaining adherence to established policies, procedures, and legal requirements. The ideal candidate will possess visionary leadership, excellent communication skills, a collaborative team-oriented approach, financial acumen, and a self-motivated mindset. A Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required, along with at least ten years of executive-level experience in the credit union or retail banking industry, particularly with a focus on consumer, mortgage, and commercial lending.

Founded in 1961 on the grounds of Avondale Shipyards, Inc., and starting out as ASI Federal Credit Union was established to serve blue collar workers. Today, OnPath FCU’s membership is open to anyone who lives, works, worships, or attends school in the greater New Orleans area, as well as in 11 other nearby cities, or employees of one of their 600+ SEG program businesses, or their relatives. OnPath has grown to include over 84,000 members and has assets totaling over $1 billion. OnPath has eleven branches and is opening a twelfth, and it offers a broad range of loans to its members, including residential mortgage, business, direct and indirect auto, Visa credit cards and unsecured loans.
